The Best Pokémon and TCG Card Scanner Apps in 2026

Facts checked October 28, 2026 · By the Binder AI Team (we make Binder AI)

There are dozens of apps that scan a Pokémon card and tell you what it's worth. They differ in what they do after the scan. Some track a master set, some run a portfolio, and only a few estimate a grade. This roundup covers the most popular ones on the App Store, checked as of October 2026 against each app's own listing and website. We make Binder AI, so we've stuck to what each developer publishes and linked a full comparison for every app.

How we compared

We read each app's App Store listing, its in-app purchase list, its website and its Google Play listing if it has one. We did not test scan speed or accuracy, and we haven't quoted download or revenue estimates. Ratings are App Store US averages as of October 2026. Prices change often and many apps show different offers to different people, so check the price in the app before you subscribe.

The apps in more detail

Binder AI

Binder AI is an AI pre-grading app for iOS, Android and the web. You photograph the front and back of a card and get an overall grade estimate on the PSA, BGS or TAG scale you choose, with centering, corners, edges and surface subgrades and written condition notes. It also has a manual centering tool, identifies the card, shows eBay sold prices, price history and a graded value table, and sorts cards into binders by game or sport with sharing and wishlists. It supports Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Digimon, Lorcana, baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer, WWE and non-sport cards. The app is free to download, and grading is included in a subscription: $1.99/week, $3.99/month or $24.99/year on the website ($4.99/month or $29.99/year in the App Store).

HoloDex

The widest game list here, with 11 TCGs including Dragon Ball Super, Gundam and Star Wars: Unlimited. Portfolios track profit and loss, duplicates and sealed product, in several currencies. Paid plans unlock unlimited scans and AI grading insights. Read Binder AI vs HoloDex.

Dex

Built for Pokémon master set collectors. The free plan covers every card, unlimited owned cards and all price sources, and Dex+ ($3.99 a month on its website) adds the camera scanner. It also has a deck builder, friends and a trade finder. Read Binder AI vs Dex.

MyDex

Scans a whole stack at once, tracks completion per expansion and exports to CSV, in 15 languages. Its website says prices come from TCGplayer with Cardmarket as a fallback. Read Binder AI vs MyDex.

Poké TCG Scanner Dragon Shield

One of the oldest scanners, on the App Store since 2017. It reads cards in any language, shows daily TCGplayer and Cardmarket prices with 30 days of history, and adds a deck builder and trade value tool. Read Binder AI vs Dragon Shield.

PokeScope

Scans through sleeves and cases, offers some free scans each day without an account, and lists graded prices for PSA, BGS, CGC and others alongside recent eBay sales. Read Binder AI vs PokeScope.

Card Value Scanner for Pokemon

A small, simple price lookup app with a watchlist, from App All Day. Its privacy label says no data is collected. Its last update was in June 2024. Read Binder AI vs Card Value Scanner.

TCG Card Scanner for Pokemon and TCG Card Identifier Value

Two scanner apps without a brand name. The first shows prices broken out by condition and tracks collection value. The second identifies cards from a photo, tracks value and trends, and builds decks from cards you own, in 47 languages. Read Binder AI vs TCG Card Scanner for Pokemon and Binder AI vs TCG Card Identifier Value.

Digital Grading Co

A grading app first. It scores cards on its own 0 to 10 DeepMint scale with centering, corners, edges, surface and structure subgrades and a confidence score. It doesn't predict a PSA, BGS or CGC grade, and grading needs a paid membership. Read Binder AI vs Digital Grading Co.

How to choose

  • You want to know what to send for grading. Pick an app that estimates a grade on the scale you'll submit to, then check the fees with the grading ROI calculator.
  • You're chasing a master set. Dex and MyDex are built around set completion and variants.
  • You collect many TCGs and sealed product. HoloDex covers the most games.
  • You just want a quick price. PokeScope's free daily scans or a simple lookup app may be all you need.
  • You collect sports cards too. See the best sports card scanner apps.

Grading is what sets these apps apart the most. For a closer look at grading apps only, see the best Pokémon card grading apps, and check a card's borders yourself with the free card centering calculator.
