Scanner apps aren't all the same tool
Identification-and-price apps such as CollX and Ludex are built for fast cataloging, pricing and, in some cases, buying and selling. Based on their official pages as of October 2026, their focus is identification and value rather than AI grade estimates. See our Binder AI vs CollX and Binder AI vs Ludex comparisons.
Binder AI is built as a grading-first scanner: every scan runs AI condition analysis across centering, corners, edges and surface, the categories PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC and TAG evaluate, alongside identification and eBay sold prices. When the answer to "what's it worth?" can swing several times over on grade, condition isn't optional data.
Every sport, one app
Baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer and WWE cards all scan into sport-specific binders, alongside any TCGs you collect. Vintage cardboard and modern chrome both work, and modern parallels are where grade-aware scanning matters most, since a rookie's PSA 10 premium can be most of its value.
From shoebox to sorted in an afternoon
The triage workflow: scan everything and let the grades and values sort the pile. High value plus a high grade estimate goes to the grading pile (check the fee math first). High value plus a mid grade means sell raw. Everything else goes in the binder, priced and tracked in case a player breaks out.
